Esta propuesta surge a partir del cuestionamiento de cómo el saxofón creado en 1840 por el belga Adolph Sax (1814-1894) se integra a la música mexicana, especialmente en el género del bolero, con la finalidad de ampliar el repertorio de manera formal, académica y cultural para el instrumentista.
