Abstract

The necessity to adapt to economic, social and political changes which occur from the post-war makes possible that English for Specific Purposes became a boom, even though this approach has been known since 1920, according to Hutchinson and Waters (1987:6) In order to face the prevailing global perspective and the importance given to the use of English, students need to be prepared to confront the challenges and vicissitudes that this holds for them, as a result the Autonomous University State of Mexico and the Ministry of Public Education were responsible to create the aims through which students can acquire the knowledge of English as a Foreign Language, considering that this is imperative by the time all graduates have to get a degree
