Resumen:
Ageing is a natural biological process where a compilation of physical and morphological changes happen as a consequence of gathering molecular damage over the time. These changes cause a series of regressions and deterioration in the systems and functions in the human organism, this conditions to suffer illnesses and with it risk of suffering a disability. In imminent fact take us to conserve the options to an active aging keeping the best life quality that is possible for a senior citizen.
The topic to be boarded in this thesis is mainly to inquire into presbystasis for its correct treatment. The presbystasis is not a sickness but a gather of changes and damages caused by ageing in the systems that contributes a correct control of balance; as the somatosensorial system, visual system and mainly vestibular system.
This work was done in a quantitative, descriptive, not experimental, longitudinal and prospective approach which general objective is to elaborate a proposition of physical therapeutic treatment in vestibular conditions for the elderly citizen with presbystasis. As instruments for investigation some tests were undergone; dizziness handicap inventory, test time up and go and Posturography.
